Balmeetra Children Activities

General Information

Balmeetra classes comprise a large segment of Sanatan Dharma culture, mythology, and values. After regularly attending the Balmeetra classes, we hope that children will become knowledgeable about religion and God through the study of great epics, scriptures, and mythology. Children learn to chant many popular shlokas and sing Bhajans. Additionally singing, acting, and dancing appropriate in celebration of festivals.

Volunteers needed for the Balvihar classes
Samarpan Temple is pleased to announce that we will work towards establishing and growing Balmeetra classes for children ages 3-12. However, to provide our children with the same level of teaching and guidance that is currently available to many other children at Sunday schools in the United States, we must mobilize a number of committed, selfless and devoted individuals whose primary focus and interest is the inculcation of this sacred value-system in our younger generation.
We need volunteers who are willing to:

  • Learn and love to teach children.
  • Commit time (a few hours a week).
  • Possess some basic proficiency in the recitation of Sanskrit hymns and chants. (Sanskrit knowledge is not needed)
  • Take pride in our culture and traditions.
